The City of Fort Pierce Grants Administration Division offers housing workshop highlighting hurricane disaster preparedness

The City of Fort Pierce Grants Administration Division is partnering with St. Lucie County Emergency Management Division and the Fort Pierce Utilities Authority to offer a housing workshop highlighting hurricane preparedness. The workshop will be held at the River Walk Center located at 600 N. Indian River Drive at 5:30 PM, Thursday, July 20, 2023, at 5:30 p.m. The workshop is free and open to the public; no registration is required.

Hurricane season began June 1 and runs through November 30, 2023. The City of Fort Pierce recognizes the need for community education and that being prepared is the key to protecting your home and loved ones during a severe storm. St. Lucie County Emergency Management Division, Fort Pierce Utilities Authority, and the City of Fort Pierce Solid Waste and Grants Administration Divisions will come together to provide information, materials, and hands-on learning at this Disaster Preparedness Workshop.

Throughout 2023, the City of Fort Pierce Grants Administration Division will host additional housing workshops tailored to a specific topic and feature helpful information, training, and opportunities to speak to specialists in the field.
