The Pointe at Ocean Boulevard cooking up a storm

The Pointe at Ocean Boulevard, a 55+ Independent Living Community hosted a networking event for Senior Advocate businesses from 4-6 PM. Attendees were treated to a welcome wine reception with piano music in the Atrium lobby. Followed by, a “Surf & Turf Cooking Demonstration” of Dry Rubbed Tri-tip Steak with Chimichurri Sauce and Fennel Infused Gulf Shrimp by Chef Mark Aronoff and Sous Chef Brian Pena in the large Activity Room.

Over 20 people attended, representing 11 local companies such as Evergreen Private Care, Senior Helpers, Concierge Movement Management, Vital Caring Home Help and more. Everyone enjoyed learning about the Argentinian dry rub and the importance of seasoning the boiled shrimp water, but the best part was being served the tasting plates afterwards.

“Partnering with local businesses helps all parties involved build brand awareness and expand our reach to audiences we might not already be in contact with,” said Cindy Ekonomou, Director of Marketing for the Pointe at Ocean Boulevard.

The Pointe hosts a Cooking Class for its residents every month along with a full schedule of fun activities daily both on and off property. Senior living here is independent, active and all inclusive. For more information or a tour, please call 772-286-9384.
