An economic development project four years in the making achieved a significant milestone on Oct. 15 when the St. Lucie County Commission approved an option agreement for the sale of 111 acres within the Treasure Coast Education, Research and Development Authority (TCERDA) research park to Ashley Capital.

Mindi Fetterman delivers powerful TEDx talk on trauma and healing

Mindi Fetterman, founder of The Inner Truth Project and a passionate advocate for survivors of sexual trauma, recently took the TEDx stage in Port St. Lucie to share her impactful message about trauma, resilience, and the power of community. Her talk, titled Healing Through Truth and Connection, explored the deep need for safe spaces where survivors can heal and thrive.

•   Stuart – Thurs., Dec. 5 – Gazebo Park, 80 SE Ocean Avenue, 6 pm
•   Port St. Lucie – Thurs., Dec. 12 - Lakeside Gazebo at Tradition, 6 pm (candle lighting ceremony)

Economic Opportunities Council (EOC) is awarded Early Head Start grant from Dept. of Health and Human Services

The Economic Opportunities Council (EOC) of Indian River has been awarded an Early Head Start grant to support the vital needs of 40 pregnant women, infants, and toddlers in Indian River County. This grant will enable EOC to provide comprehensive services that promote healthy development and enhance the educational experiences of young children and their families.
