The deaths from coronavirus of two people on the Treasure Coast were reported over the weekend while growth in case numbers continued to decline from their peaks.

Two more people died while nine more people tested positive on the Treasure Coast for coronavirus, according to today’s statistics from the Florida Department of Health.

About half of the 35 coronavirus deaths that have occurred on the Treasure Coast have been associated with longterm care facilities. The average age of the people who have died in the three counties is 81.

Just one new case of coronavirus was reported today on the daily digital dashboard of cases maintained by the Florida Department of Health.

The deaths of three more people, one in Indian River County and two in St. Lucie County, were reported today by the Florida Department of Health.
