Tucked along Savannah Road in Fort Pierce, Heathcote Botanical Gardens stands as a testament to the enduring power of community vision and green space preservation. Established in 1986, this nonprofit garden has grown from a modest idea into a vibrant cultural and educational hub serving the Treasure Coast.
Bev Smith Toyota in Fort Pierce has completed a renovation and expansion project aimed at updating the dealership’s facilities and increasing operational capacity. The project included a full interior renovation of the existing building, an expanded showroom and the addition of a new adjacent structure. The updated facility at 3350 S. U.S. Highway 1 reflects Toyota’s current design standards and features reconfigured customer and staff areas.
Play Treasure Coast Sports Chief Operating Officer Ryan Strickland has been elected secretary/treasurer of Sports ETA, a leading trade association for the sports events and tourism industry. Strickland’s election to the executive leadership team highlights his role in advancing sports tourism at regional and national levels. In his role, he has helped drive strategic growth, expand event recruitment and generate economic impact across Florida’s Treasure Coast, including Indian River, St. Lucie and Martin counties.
The Grant Professionals Certification Institute (GPCI) has awarded Jonathan Orozco, Development Director for The Source, the Grant Professional Certified (GPC) credential—one of the field’s highest recognitions for expertise in grantsmanship. Orozco joins an elite group of more than 600 professionals nationwide who have achieved the GPC designation.
