Bev Smith Toyota in Fort Pierce has completed a renovation and expansion project aimed at updating the dealership’s facilities and increasing operational capacity.
The project included a full interior renovation of the existing building, an expanded showroom and the addition of a new adjacent structure. The updated facility at 3350 S. U.S. Highway 1 reflects Toyota’s current design standards and features reconfigured customer and staff areas.
Improvements include updated offices, new furnishings and expanded service capacity, intended to support higher volume and improve workflow across sales and service operations.
The dealership celebrated its grand reopening March 24. It remained open during construction, operating out of temporary modular offices and adjusted service areas.
The Fort Pierce location is part of the Bev Smith Automotive Group, a family-owned dealership group with a longstanding presence on the Treasure Coast. Dealer principal Nick Smith purchased the Fort Pierce Toyota dealership in 1992 and built a new facility in 1995. His father, Bev Smith, owned what was once the nation’s top-selling Ford dealership in West Palm Beach in the 1960s.
General Manager Frank Gonzalez joined Bev Smith Toyota in 1997 and became a partner in 2001. The Bev Smith Automotive Group now includes Bev Smith Kia in Fort Pierce and Bev Smith Kia of Stuart. Gonzalez has overseen day-to-day operations during the renovation, coordinating ongoing sales and service activity alongside construction.
MH Williams Construction Group served as general contractor, with Penney Design Group as architect and ID Automotive providing project management.
