George W. Eighmy named Treasure Health Chief Financial Officer
Treasure Health, parent company of Treasure Coast Hospice and Brevard-based St. Francis Hospice, announced the appointment of George W. Eighmy, MBA, FHFMA, as Chief Financial Officer. Eighmy succeeds Lisbet “Liz” Vandenberg, who recently retired from the nonprofit hospice organization.

International Coastal Cleanup planned
Keep Martin Beautiful will coordinate Martin County’s participation in the 2026 International Coastal Cleanup on Sat., Sept. 19, joining volunteers worldwide in removing litter from beaches, shorelines and waterways. Last year, local volunteers collected nearly 3,000 pieces of microplastic from county shorelines in a single morning.
The City of Fort Pierce is seeking proposals from professional artists and artist teams for a permanent outdoor sculpture planned for the front entrance of Fort Pierce City Hall, 100 N. U.S. Highway 1.
Master’s Academy announced it has received a donation of professional scientific equipment from Ken Williams valued at approximately $100,000. Williams, an analytical chemist with a 52-year career in the polymer, textile and paper industries, donated an extensive collection of laboratory equipment to support middle and high school science instruction.
