Land deal approved for commerce park

The St. Lucie County Commission approved an option agreement for the sale of 111 acres within the Treasure Coast Education, Research and Development Authority research park to Ashley Capital, one of the nation’s largest industrial real estate investment companies. The property is in St. Lucie County on Kings Highway, between Orange Avenue and Okeechobee Road, within a mile of Interstate 95 and 1.5 miles from Florida’s Turnpike.

United Way of Indian River County offers free, online tax filing

United Way of Indian River County announced the return of United Way’s free tax filing through My Free Taxes® for the new tax season. My Free Taxes lets U.S. tax filers who earned less than $84K last year file their federal and state taxes online – for free. Since 2009, My Free Taxes has helped 1.45M people across America save $290M in tax prep fees and receive over $2.1B in refunds.

Bank of America Announces Redemptions of $500,000,000 Floating Rate Senior Notes and $3,000,000,000 3.384% Fixed/Floating Rate Senior Notes, Due April 2026

Bank of America Corporation announced today that it will redeem on April 2, 2025 all $500,000,000 principal amount outstanding of its Floating Rate Senior Notes, due April 2026 (CUSIP No. 06051GKN8) (the “Floating Rate Notes”), and all $3,000,000,000 principal amount outstanding of its 3.384% Fixed/Floating Rate Senior Notes, due April 2026 (CUSIP No. 06051GKM0) (the “Fixed/Floating Rate Notes” and, together with the Floating Rate Notes, the “Notes”).

City of Fort Pierce’s Paint Our Town Program continues to beautify neighborhoods and support homeowners

Through the Paint Our Town program, the City supplies paint, painting materials, and minor home repair essentials to eligible homeowners. Dedicated volunteers generously contribute their time and skills to assist with house painting, property cleanup, and landscaping, ensuring that homes are refreshed, and neighborhoods maintain their charm.

Dyer Difference Award celebrates America’s pastime and United Against Poverty

Way back in 1908, lyricist Jack Norworth penned the lines, “Take me out to the ball game. Take me out with the crowd.” He was, of course, talking about baseball, America’ pastime, and one of the traditions we all seem to grow up with in the USA. And with such a rich tradition of baseball right here in our own backyard, it’s no surprise that everyone in the Dyer staff and family is passionate about supporting America’s favorite sport as much as they support the communities who love it and the children who grow up learning – among other things, teamwork, responsibility, strategic decision-making, perseverance, and resilience, and grace under pressure.

**Nashville comes to Stuart with Songwriters in the Round on April 12**

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Martin County announces the return of the Second Annual Songwriters in the Round presented by Beth and Steve Svopa and Brown & Brown Insurance, a country-theme music event. This fundraising dinner and dancing event will make you feel like you are in the hit television series Yellowstone. This event was the first of its kind on the Treasure Coast in its debut year 2023, and it is set for Saturday, April 12, at the Hobe Sound Farmers Market at 6 p.m.

Molly’s House reimagining the mission for this home away from home

Molly’s House, a beloved Treasure Coast nonprofit, is actively engaged in reimagining its mission while remaining true to its roots. Molly’s House was established by generous community members in 1996 as a home away from home for family members undergoing treatment at Martin Health System hospitals. It grew out of an outpouring of love after the death of Molly Sharkey at just 18 years old from a rare type of leukemia.
