Gillhouse brings more than 30 years of executive leadership experience in sales, marketing, and general management within the building products and construction materials industries. His background includes leading large, multi-channel sales organizations, integrating brands, executing pricing strategies, and driving market expansion.
Dyer Difference is Digging Paw Prints and Art Prints
January started off as fast as a dog with the Zoomies for the folks on the Dyer Difference Award Committees in Indian River and St. Lucie Counties, and every bit of it was tail-wagging good. In St. Lucie County, the Dyer Difference Award chose to support the annual Blue Jean Ball, a legendary event created by local icons and animal-lovers Sandee and Art Allen who take participants back to the 1970s for an evening of bell-bottoms, platform shoes, mood rings, afros and Farrah-hair to raise funds for the Humane Society of St. Lucie County.
The Environmental Learning Center launches new advisory council
The Environmental Learning Center (ELC) announced the formation of its new Advisory Council, a distinguished body of over twenty-five community leaders dedicated to advancing the mission of the beloved nonprofit nature center. For nearly 40 years, the ELC has been providing “hands-on, feet-wet,"" immersive environmental education opportunities in Indian River County, and this new Council is poised to ensure its dynamic future.
Free admission at the Florida Highwaymen Celebration Weekend
The A.E. Backus Museum & Gallery will present its annual Highwaymen Celebration Weekend Fri., Feb. 13 through Sun., Feb.,15, during regular hours each day. Visitors to the Museum can enjoy a range of special offerings, including viewing the special exhibition Florida Highwaymen: Journey. FREE admission, with features outside and inside at 500 North Indian River Drive in Historic Downtown Fort Pierce.
