Study: Nearly 80% of U.S. business owners anticipate revenue growth in the coming year

Nearly four out of five (78%) small and mid-sized business owners anticipate revenue growth in the next 12 months. This level of confidence spans most business owners, with 76% of women, 82% of Hispanic-Latino, 84% of Black/African American and 83% of Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) entrepreneurs anticipating revenue growth in the year ahead.

Hurricane Milton disaster recovery continues

Local agencies have swiftly united to provide crucial support for those impacted by the tornadoes. While immediate needs are being met, the road to full recovery is a long journey, not a quick fix. We are now entering the critical phase of long-term recovery, where many residents remain displaced, uncertain of when they can return home.

Dyer Difference Award offers hope for families and burn victims

Nobody ever plans to become homeless, but the truth is that any one of us could find ourselves in the situation, no matter how hard we work or how solid our upbringing. Despite being employed full time, sometimes even with a second job, the decrease in the availability of affordable housing throughout our region has made homelessness an issue for more families thank you might imagine. Sometimes all it takes is a little bit of hope to help navigate the challenges and speed bumps of life. In Indian River County, some of that hope comes from the Hope for Families Center, a nonprofit organization whose goal is to help transition homeless families to sustainable permanent housing through providing safe shelter, healthy food, and supportive services.

ALICE families in IRC need long-term disaster recovery assistance

United Way of Indian River County extends heartfelt thanks to the community for its overwhelming generosity in response to Hurricane Milton. Donations of food, supplies, and essential items allowed us to meet the immediate needs of hundreds of families. However, the journey to full recovery continues, especially for ALICE (Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed) families, who are facing long-term challenges.

Pure Prairie League added to LIVE! From Vero Beach 2025 concert series

MusicWorks announces a new addition to the 2025 LIVE! From Vero Beach performance schedule. Adding in a soft rock/country influence rounds out what is expected to be a most enjoyable full roster of classic rock and folk lineup for this 12 year old concert series. Pure Prairie League is an American country rock/soft rock band that began their musical journey in 1970 and local audiences will enjoy their sweet sounds from The Emerson Center stage on Thurs., Feb. 6 at 7. p.m.

Hallelujah Girls raise the roof at Treasure Coast Theatre

After the death of a dear friend, a group of women decide to shake up their lives, beginning with Sugar Lee, who buys an abandoned church and turns it into a day spa. As the women meet every Friday at the spa, their lives take unexpected twists and turns, including the appearances of an unexpected ex-boyfriend, an unlikely marriage proposal, and a determined rival threatening their beloved spa. Amidst the laughter and joy, this rollicking Southern comedy captures the women’s journey overcoming obstacles, forging new paths, and celebrating the bonds of friendship.
