Field of sweet dreams


When Cary Goldberg, president of Diversified Companies in Deerfield Beach, visited Vero Beach to check on an aviation project at the local airport, something unexpected caught his eye: a field of dreams. Nestled between the Jackie Robinson Training Complex, formerly Historic Dodgertown, and the airfield, the location seemed ideal for developing a hotel that could serve both the aeronautical community and sports enthusiasts. In a serendipitous twist, the property turned out to be a non-aeronautical parcel available for lease from the airport.

Referendum to buy natural lands in Martin County passes

Martin County voters took decisive action on November 5 to preserve its character and protect its natural resources for generations to come by approving a one-half cent sales tax for conservation efforts. The Martin County Forever referendum, which passed with nearly 63.93% of the vote demonstrates the community’s commitment to protecting natural lands, water quality, and wildlife.
