Breeze Airways’ Vero routes exceed projections

Attracting passengers for commercial air travel in Vero Beach has been a breeze for Breeze Airways, which launched flights to and from Vero Beach in February 2023. Breeze is the only carrier to serve the airport since Elite Airways departed in July 2022.

City of Fort Pierce commission seeks applicants for multiple advisory boards

Fort Pierce City Commissioners are seeking qualified residents to apply for positions on two important advisory boards: the City Planning Board and the Fort Pierce Utilities Authority (FPUA) Board.

Nearly half of adult Gen Zers getting financial help from Mom & Dad

Today, 46 percent of Gen Zers (ages 18-27) rely on financial assistance from parents and family, according to new research from Bank of America’s Better Money Habits® financial education team. In addition, 52 percent of those surveyed said they don’t make enough money to live the life they want and cite the cost of living as a top barrier to financial success. Many said they are delaying milestones and are not on track to buy a home (50%), save for retirement (46%), or start investing (40%) within the next five years – even though they are working toward those goals.

United Way invests over $3.6 Million into Indian River County

United Way of Indian River County (UWIRC) announced $1,586,431 in funding for local programs and initiatives this week. Thirty-five agencies will use the funds awarded to implement forty-eight programs in the Health, Education, and Financial Stability impact areas. The awards run from July 2024 through June 2025.

United Way of Martin County's Ride United Program receives $21,222 grant from United Way Worldwide

United Way of Martin County announced that its Ride United Program has been awarded a $21,222 grant from United Way Worldwide. Martin County is proud to be one of 55 United Way organizations across the nation to receive this vital support and one of only four in Florida - receiving the highest grant amount among Florida recipients.

Treasure Coast Hospice celebrates Great Place to Work Certification

For the fifth consecutive year, Great Place to Work Institute and its senior care partner Activated Insights have recognized Treasure Coast Hospice with certification as a Great Place to Work. The certification process involved surveying 100% of employees from across the organization and evaluating more than 60 elements of team members’ experience on the job. These included employee pride in the organization’s community impact, belief that their work makes a difference, and feeling their work has special meaning.

ARC of The Treasure Coast receives $1M in critical funding

ARC of the Treasure Coast is announced it will receive $1 million in state funding to build the Therapeutic Intervention Program Center in Port St. Lucie. The appropriation is part of the new $116.5 billion budget recently approved by Governor Ron DeSantis.
