The Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institute Foundation (HBOIF) Board of Directors today announced the retirement of HBOIF president and chief executive officer Katha Kissman.

Robert “Bob” Stork, founder and CEO of Communications International (Ci), has been named Entrepreneur of the Year for 2020 by the Indian River State College Foundation. Stork will be honored on Wednesday, Feb.26, at a gala dinner at the Richardson Center, located at IRSC Mueller Campus in Vero Beach.

CenterState Bank Corporation, the parent company of CenterState Bank, and South State Corporation, the parent company of South State Bank, jointly announced Monday that they have entered into a definitive agreement under which the companies will combine in an all-stock merger of equals with a total market value of approximately $6 billion to create a leading Southeastern-based regional bank. CenterState has locations in all three Treasure Coast counties, Indian River, Martin and St. Lucie.

The February Gallery Stroll will be the kickoff an art show featuring the work of Dr. M Johnson Hagood at the Artists’ Guild Gallery on Friday, February 7th at 5pm. Dr. Hagood’s works have been featured there before, and the gallery is thrilled to welcome him back for a showing of his newer works. Dr. Hagood is an accomplished artist and his unique artistic abilities are reflected in his work in the field of cosmetic dentistry.

The Mental Health Association in Indian River County is hosting their Second Annual MHA ROCKS! Party February 22, 2020. This year’s British Invasion themed party will feature BeatleBeat, a group of world-class musicians who are all veterans of the cast of Beatlemania, Legends in Concert, and Walt Disney World’s British Invasion band at EPCOT.
