ST. LUCIE COUNTY – Thom Jones, the President of the Education Foundation, St. Lucie has announced their 2019 Board of Directors and Officers.

Robbi Giaccone was appointed Chair of the Board. Robbi works for Holley Surgical Arts and is a longtime supporter of the Education Foundation and is a dedicated community leader.

Cynthia Pilloni, Vice President of Client & Community Relations for PNC Bank was announced as Vice Chair. PNC Bank is a long-time benefactor of the Foundation.

Brandon Nobile was re-elected to the Board and will serve as Treasurer. Brandon is an executive with Remnant Construction LLC in Fort Pierce.

Shrita Walker was also re-elected to the Board. Shrita is an Assistant Vice President with MIDFLORIDA Credit Union and will serve as Board Secretary. MIDFLORIDA is a benefactor of the Foundation and the sponsor of the Teacher of the Year Award.

Leslie Kristof, Immediate Past Chair and PSL Campus President for Keiser University continues to serve as an Executive Board Member. Keiser is a major benefactor of the Foundation and the 2020 corporate sponsor of the Distinguished Minority Educator of the Year.

Thom Jones continues as President of the Foundation and E. Wayne Gent, Superintendent of Schools and Dr. Donna Mills, School Board Member for St. Lucie Public Schools, continue as Ex Officio Board Members.

The Foundation also welcomes new board members Ron Pietkewicz as Vice President and is the Area Lending Manager for Bank of America. The foundation also welcomes Linda Bartz, St Lucie County Commissioner, District 3.

Other Board Members re-elected include Anthony Bonna, Amber Woods, David Freeland, Tracey McMorris, Valerie Juno, Dean DeVries, Ian Cotner, Kathleen Campanella, Dr. Kevin G. Perry, Vicki Rodriguez, Carissa Zerga and Honorary Members Elizabeth Heard Mallonee and the 2020 Teacher of the Year, Makeda Brome.

Thom Jones stated that his goal is to continue to strengthen the Foundation’s mission to promote, encourage and recognize excellence in public education.
