SEWALL’S POINT – J. McLaughlin at Harbour Bay Plaza in Sewall’s Point hosted “Wellness for Women” on February 4th to benefit Martin County Healthy Start Coalition. More than 35 attendees enjoyed this health awareness event featuring experts sharing tips on wellness and small changes to keep your family naturally healthy. Guest speakers included Pat Sheehan of Beautycounter, Andrea Snyder-Murphy of Acupuncture & Herbs, Leo Hart of Complete Care, Helen Martin of Stretch Zone, and Laura Wenger of Yoga Fish.
Shelley Trevisol, manager of J. McLaughlin, reported that raffle ticket proceeds and 15 percent of J. McLaughlin sales during the event totaling over $280 were donated to Martin County Healthy Start Coalition, an organization offering expectant mothers risk screenings, prenatal care, parenting support, and counseling to ensure that all babies are born healthy.
