VSOA’s God’s Green Earth a hit

God’s Great Earth the latest art show presented by Visionary School of Arts (VSOA) welcomed a record number of attendees to Infiniti Stuart on April 21.

The show featured more than 80 works of art from VSOA students aged five-18, as well as from instructors at the school. Landscapes and animals were among the subjects represented

An exciting announcement about VSOA’s new building fund was made at the show. Lynne Barletta, the founder of VSOA, shared that the new fund called “Visionary Futures” has been established at The Community Foundation Martin – St. Lucie.

To kickstart the fund, a raffle of beautiful baskets donated by such local businesses as Hani Honey, and Roasted Record was held. Almost $7,000 was raised toward the new fund.

Mario Murgado, President and CEO of Murgado Automotive Group Inc, welcomed attendees and talked about the mutual respect between his company and Visionary School of ArtsMario said that he is “honored to host this event for Visionary and for the remarkable and talented artists.” He believes that Visionary’s art shows help the children to “develop their talent and give them an outlet for self-expression that fuels their passion to share their talent with the world”.

Other speakers included Martin County Commissioner, Ed Ciampi, a long- time supporter of VSOA.

VSOA was established in 2010.  Children age five-18 learn fine art training, leadership and the skills of public presentation through shows and competitions. Since 2010, VSOA students have won over 600 local, national, and international awards for fine art and leadership.

Through after-school and weekend programs, summer camps and workshops, students learn to work in many mediums. This positive approach builds confidence and as students grow with VSOA, an internship program is available to them where they can work with professional artists and leaders. VSOA has formed a partnership that will launch this summer with Apple for intensive training of interns in photography, digital art and professional video creation and editing.
