Treasure Coast Hospice earns 4-star federal rating

FORT PIERCE — Treasure Coast Hospice has received a 4-star quality rating from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services through the federal Hospice Care Compare program, the organization announced.

The rating is based on feedback from patients’ families and caregivers collected through the nationally standardized Hospice CAHPS family experience survey.

CEO Jackie Kendrick said the recognition reflects the organization’s focus on patient-centered care.

The federal survey measures caregiver experiences in areas including communication, responsiveness, pain and symptom management, emotional and spiritual support, and overall quality of care.

Treasure Coast Hospice, a nonprofit provider founded in 1982, serves more than 4,000 patients annually in Martin, St. Lucie and Okeechobee counties.
