Harbor Freight signs deal to open new location in Fort Pierce

Harbor Freight has announced it will be opening a new store in Fort Pierce. The new store will be located at 2125 S Federal Hwy and is expected to open this fall. An official opening date will be announced closer to opening. Construction has already begun at the location, using local workers and companies from the surrounding Fort Pierce area.

Martin County Business Award winners announced

Leading up to the Oct. 6 luncheon at Hutchinson Island Shores Resort & Spa in Jensen Beach, the Business Development Board of Martin County received more than 60 nominations for the Martin County Business Awards, which Executive Director William Corbin says are “basically the business community’s version of the Super Bowl.” Before revealing the 2025 winners, Corbin expressed gratitude to presenting sponsor, Bank of America, Gold sponsors Ashley Capital, Cleveland Clinic Martin Health, and the Village of Indiantown. The Vero Beach Chamber of Commerce welcomes two new board members, Megan Root and Isabel Valle. Megan Root is an attorney with Collins Brown and Barkett. A.E. Backus Museum marks its 65th season

The A.E. Backus Museum announced the exhibitions and events scheduled for its 65th Season, opening in October 2025. Now in its seventh decade, the Museum continues its mission to promote the arts in the community and honor the artistic and humanitarian legacy of our namesake artist, A.E. “Bean” Backus (1906–1990). This year’s dynamic lineup of exhibitions and events reflects and deepens that enduring purpose.
