Humane Society of St. Lucie County holds “Kids to Kitties Reading Program” Saturdays 

The Humane Society of St. Lucie County is excited to announce the official launch of its Kids to Kitties reading session, beginning Saturday, Feb. 15th, from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. at the shelter. This weekly event will offer kids in the community the opportunity to connect with the cats at the shelter while independently reading in a cozy, safe environment. The Kids to Kiddies Reading Program is designed to be mutually beneficial for students aged six to 15 who want to improve their reading skills and for shy, anxious shelter cats. Readers can bring their own books or borrow one from our shelter’s small library.
