With Martin County adding eight more cases, the number of coronavirus cases on the Treasure Coast rose to 59 today, according to the Florida Department of Health’s daytime surveillance report. The Treasure Coast cases are up from 44 the day before.
Martin County, with 25 cases, has the most cases on the Treasure Coast, followed by St. Lucie County with 19 and Indian River County with 15. Indian River’s cases showed no changes in the number of cases from Friday. Martin reported 17 cases on Friday and St. Lucie reported 16 cases. The Treasure Coast cases have required five hospitalizations, including three in St. Lucie, one in Martin and one in St. Lucie. One person in St. Lucie County, a 59-year-old man, has died of the disease.
Overall, Florida has 3,663 cases, with 54 deaths and 527 hospitalizations. Today’s report shows 40,250 people have been tested in Florida.
