ST. LUCIE COUNTY – Premier Wellness Centers will host the Inaugural Premier Wellness Centers Golf Classic on Saturday, Sept. 10 at St. Lucie Trail Golf Course. The event is open to the public and will benefit Windsor Community Angels. Windsor Community Angels provides free mammograms to women in St. Lucie County who have no health insurance.

Kerri Dolan, a board member of Windsor Community Angels recently told Dr. Jensen, founder of Premier Wellness Centers that the organization had a waiting list of over 70 women. Dr. Jensen was dismayed that any woman could die of breast cancer simply because they could not afford the test for early detection.

“Early detection is the first key to surviving breast cancer,” said Dr. Jensen. “I knew immediately that we needed to help this organization. I decided to combine my love of golf with a fundraiser and the Premier Wellness Centers Golf Classic was born. I hope that all golfers in our community, regardless of the level of their skill, will come out and play so that we can take that list of 70 women down to zero women waiting for a mammogram.”

The event will begin with a continental breakfast followed by a shotgun start at 8 a.m. Hole-in-one prizes include $50,000 cash or an all-inclusive vacation. The prize for the putting contest is a Nike putter.

An awards program will follow the 18-hole scramble. It will include lunch and a silent auction. The entry fee is $150 per player and registration is open to the public.
