Leadership Indian River County is a community leadership program offered by the Indian River County Chamber of Commerce. Participants will gain an introduction to the infrastructure, natural resources and current political issues of Indian River County.

Akel Homes, a private residential development company based in Delray Beach, has taken over ownership of 2,500 acres of land in Port St. Lucie. The property is known as Wilson Grove and is entitled for 7,700 residential units and more than a million square feet of commercial real estate. In the years to come, Wilson Grove will become one of the largest active developments in the state of Florida.
