CenterState and South State Merge to Create Southeast Regional Bank

CenterState Bank Corporation, the parent company of CenterState Bank, and South State Corporation, the parent company of South State Bank, jointly announced Monday that they have entered into a definitive agreement under which the companies will combine in an all-stock merger of equals with a total market value of approximately $6 billion to create a leading Southeastern-based regional bank. CenterState has locations in all three Treasure Coast counties, Indian River, Martin and St. Lucie.

Home developer takes over 2,500 acres in Port St. Lucie

Akel Homes, a private residential development company based in Delray Beach, has taken over ownership of 2,500 acres of land in Port St. Lucie. The property is known as Wilson Grove and is entitled for 7,700 residential units and more than a million square feet of commercial real estate. In the years to come, Wilson Grove will become one of the largest active developments in the state of Florida.

Rossway Swan Tierney Barry Hosts 11th Annual Soup Bowl

Rossway Swan hosted their 11th Annual Soup Bowl on December 6th and the event was well attended by members of both the Treasure Coast and Space Coast communities. The event, to benefit the Samaritan Center for Homeless Families, is the Firm’s launch of the holiday season of giving and thankfulness to the communities they serve. The charitable event was very successful and was enjoyed by nearly 200 guests and visitors.
