Founded by a group of dedicated local women, Gloria Moore, Laura Baker, Jan Bals, Norma Cassens, and Peggy Berg, Heathcote began with a mission to protect natural beauty while creating a place for connection and learning. Decades later, that mission continues to flourish across its lush grounds at 210 Savannah Road.

Heathcote offers more than a walk through curated landscapes. It provides a blend of horticulture, education and community engagement, welcoming families, students and visitors seeking both relaxation and enrichment. Its nationally recognized bonsai collection, the largest public display in the United States, draws enthusiasts from across the country.
