First recipient of Martin Loan Fund celebrates its grand opening
The first local business to benefit from the Martin Loan Fund through the Business Development Board of Martin County (BDBMC) was the Old Havana Café. Celebrating its grand opening in Stuart at 2225 SE Ocean Blvd., Old Havana Café got its start on the road in Toronto.
The Fort Pierce Redevelopment Agency is now accepting applications from property owners interested in adding a professionally installed mural to their building in 2026. This year, the program has expanded to include the entire FPRA district, with eligible areas including South Beach, Fisherman’s Wharf, Downtown, Lincoln Park, and the Peacock Arts District.
United Way of Indian River County offers free income tax preparation assistance
United Way of Indian River County, in partnership with the IRS, the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program, is once again offering free tax preparation and e-filing services to residents with an annual household income of $68,000 or less.
