Local tower supplier acquired by Ohio firm

Vero Beach-based Aluma Tower Co. Inc. has been acquired by the Will-Burt Company of Orrville, Ohio.

Founded in 1974, Aluma Tower is a supplier of aluminum telescopic tower systems. Aluma has extensive experience manufacturing military tower-trailer-shelter systems that withstand harsh environments, yet are quick and easy to operate and are lightweight, mobile, rugged, dependable and, above all, safe. Among Aluma’s largest customers are the U.S. government, telecom providers, first responders, and emergency management and surveillance companies.

Will-Burt, incorporated in 1918, is also a tower system manufacturer with offices and manufacturing facilities in the United States, United Kingdom, Germany, Turkey and Singapore. The company is 100% employee owned.

“This exciting union not only brings together two industry leaders but also ignites a constructive collaboration rooted in our shared commitment to excellence,” said Will-Burt CEO and President Richard Lewin.  Both companies boast a legacy of delivering high-quality products, and this acquisition strengthens our collective ability to innovate and serve our customers better. Moreover, the aligned cultures, core values and rich histories of both organizations lay a solid foundation for seamless integration.”

Shane Mullan, managing director of Aluma, said he anticipates “a smooth merger, ensuring that together, we continue to set new standards of excellence in our industry.”

Will-Burt and Aluma Tower will be consolidated under the name Will-Burt Integration and Elevation Systems.
