Florida COVID-19 cases advance by 1K for first time

Florida today had its first plus-1,000 case gain in coronavirus cases, increasing by 1,227 cases over Sunday, according to a comparison of daytime reports released by the Florida Department of Health. The state reported a total of 5,473 positive cases, and a jump of more than 10,000 people tested, for a total of 54,182 tests taken in the state. The death toll increased by 7 statewide to 63, with a total of 652 hospitalizations.

With Martin County adding eight more cases, the number of coronavirus cases on the Treasure Coast rose to 59 today, according to the Florida Department of Health’s daytime surveillance report. The Treasure Coast cases are up from 44 the day before.

13 coronavirus cases reported for Treasure Coast

The number of COVID-19 cases on the Treasure Coast has risen to 13, with 8 cases in Indian River County, three cases in St Lucie County and two cases in Martin County, according to a report released this morning by the Florida Department of Health. Only one of the cases, in Indian River County, has involved a hospitalization, the report showed.
