IRSC School of Business Dean Dr. Prishanth Pilly and team members Jodie Anderson and Lila White review the inaugural issue of Treasure Coast Business.

Thanks for picking up and reading the second issue of Treasure Coast Business, the publication dedicated to all things business across the Treasure Coast. We have received a lot of terrific feedback regarding the publication since our inaugural issue hit the streets and business suites back in June. Readers tell us they appreciate the dedication to serious business content and stories, and many business owners and operators say they were pleased to finally see a magazine dedicated to covering Treasure Coast business activities and happenings.

A couple of quick acknowledgments and some thank-you notes to those who have made this important publication possible:

Thanks to our talented and professional staff of writers, designers and sales staff for bringing this publication vision to printed reality.

Thanks to all those advertisers whose support makes this publication possible — thanks in advance for your continued support.

Thanks to the Florida SBDC Network leadership team who shared the vision of creating a dedicated small business publication for the Treasure Coast and beyond.

The Treasure Coast business community is filled with innovative, savvy and experienced business owners, managers and entrepreneurs, who possess remarkable business acumen. The region is home to thousands of small- to medium-sized enterprises that are contributing in big ways to our local, state and national economies (see our “Made on the Treasure Coast’’ story on Page 8).

The region is also fortunate to have economic development organizations that are staffed and lead by dedicated, intelligent, experienced economic development professionals with a passion and understanding for marketing and representing their respective counties (Around the Region on Page 54).

Finally, the Treasure Coast is fortunate to be home to Aspen Prize Winning Indian River State College, an institution of higher education and workforce training. Whether it is providing traditional two- and four-year degrees, offering unique workforce and certification training programs or launching new and innovative apprenticeship programs to support our region’s growing advanced manufacturing industry, IRSC, through visionary leadership, consistently remains in front of a dynamic Treasure Coast and Okeechobee marketplace and its workforce needs. Check out the June issue and the Treasure Coast Advanced Manufacturing Center at IRSC.

The rate of growth and expansion along the Treasure Coast marketplace is accelerating, with changes visible almost daily. Treasure Coast Business is dedicated to providing comprehensive coverage of the business community and keeping pace with the marketplace’s growth and expansion. The magazine is the go-to publication for the region’s business professionals.

Remember, the well-informed read Treasure Coast Business.
