Dr. Lori Posk, MD, FACP

Thursday, September 5, 2019, VERO BEACH: Cleveland Clinic Indian River Hospital welcomes internal medicine physician Lori Posk, MD, FACP. Dr. Posk earned her doctor of medicine from Michigan State University and completed her internal medicine residency at Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Ohio. She is board certified in internal medicine and clinical informatics.

Dr. Posk served as Chief Medical Resident at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation prior to becoming Medical Director for MyChart at Cleveland Clinic and Medical Director at the Twinsburg Family Health and Surgery Center. Her focus includes the personal patient portal, practice efficiency and improving chronic disease management. Dr. Posk also treats conditions such as high cholesterol, diabetes, high blood pressure, Alzheimer’s disease and preventative medicine.
She joined the MyChart Team in July 2012 and lead the team in several initiatives including Open Notes, electronic messaging, patient access and test result release.

In her role as Medical Director, Dr. Posk managed over 100 physicians and 400 caregivers in a Cleveland Clinic regional practice location. Her work with the patient portal enhances and allows for the innovation of care. She also continues to see patients in her internal medicine practice. In her new role at CCIRH, she will bring the features of the Cleveland Clinic Portal to patients at the hospital and work with a team to bring the health care system up on a new electronic medical record.

Dr. Posk is a member of the American College of Physicians, American Association of Physician Leadership, American Medical Association and American Medical Informatics Association.
