VNA LPNs earn IV Therapy certification

VNA of the Treasure Coast announced that licensed practical nurses Janet Hill, Melissa Pooler-Sherrill and Shawn Brecher have earned IV therapy certification, strengthening the organization’s ability to provide skilled, patient-centered home health care throughout the community.
The certification allows the nurses, within their scope of practice, to provide intravenous therapies, including certain IV medications and treatments permitted under Florida law. The additional training expands the skilled nursing services available to patients receiving care at home.
“Janet, Melissa and Shawn exemplify the compassion, professionalism and commitment to excellence that define our nursing team,” said Beth Goodwin, director of nursing at VNA of the Treasure Coast. “We are proud of their achievement and their continued dedication to lifelong learning and outstanding patient care.”
VNA of the Treasure Coast said the achievement reflects its ongoing commitment to clinical excellence and compassionate home health care for patients across the Treasure Coast.
