VNA celebrates five years of Project Wish for Hospice patients

The Visiting Nurse Association of the Treasure Coast (VNA) is hosting a photography exhibit of Project Wish recipients at the VNA Hidden Treasures Thrift Store located at 656 21st Street on Miracle Mile in Vero Beach.

Project Wish provides wonderful, memorable end-of-life experiences for VNA Hospice patients that both they and their families will always treasure. Over the past five years, wishes have included a day at the beach; lunch with Snow White; and an afternoon watching the Blue Angels fly – and meeting some of the pilots – along with many other experiences near and dear to patients. The heart of Project Wish, which is a VNA & Hospice Foundation-supported program, is about living life to the fullest. Project Wish began with a nurse hearing a patient’s desire to do something he missed most and has blossomed into a team of volunteers who make these wishes come true.

We hope you’ll stop by the VNA Hidden Treasures Thrift Store to view these inspiring photos. The exhibit will be on display through the end of the year. Hidden Treasures offers high-quality merchandise at low prices. And the best part is that proceeds from the store help to offset the day-to-day operating expense of the VNA Hospice House and benefit VNA Hospice’s mission of providing compassionate care for any Indian River County resident facing a life-limiting illness. Hidden Treasures is open seven days a week from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
