Vero Beach Museum of Art Hosts Sold-Out Event
More than 600 Vero Beach Museum of Art members, exhibition sponsors, and special guests joined photographer Robert Landau and Museum leadership on Friday, May 17, 2024, for an exclusive preview of Rock ‘N’ Roll Billboards of the Sunset Strip: Photographs by Robert Landau. The evening featured a lecture by Mr. Landau in Holmes Great Hall, followed by time in the exhibition, a book signing, and a wine reception.
Rock ‘N’ Roll Billboards of the Sunset Strip: Photographs by Robert Landau brings to life a unique and rarely seen period in the history of rock and roll through photography that chronicles ephemeral pop-culture masterpieces—classic rock and roll billboards—that loomed over L.A.’s most iconic boulevard for only weeks before being dismantled, white-washed, and painted over with newer images.
The exhibition is on view at the Vero Beach Museum of Art through September 1, 2024
