Treasure Coast Builders Association Charitable Fund, Inc. named a DEWALT Grow the Trades Grant recipient
Treasure Coast Builders Association Charitable Fund Inc. was recently recognized as a DEWALT Grow the Trades Grant recipient for its efforts to promote skilled trades to young adults. This grant will enhance our Careers in Construction Treasure Coast events, where young adults gain hands-on exposure, introductory training, and career insights in various construction trades and related industries.
With an estimated 500,000 open construction jobs unfilled, DEWALT’s Grow the Trades Grants aim to help close the skilled labor gap by supporting nonprofit organizations that are skilling, reskilling and upskilling tradespeople. Each year, the program awards funding and tool donations as part of a larger $30 million commitment over five years to close the skilled trades gap.
Treasure Coast Builders Association Charitable Fund Inc. was selected as one of 166 organizations that are providing greater accessibility and resources for trades training.
“We are grateful to DEWALT for selecting us as a recipient of the Grow The Trades Grant. This generous support will provide up to 40 young adults in the Treasure Coast and Okeechobee areas the opportunity to participate in our Careers in Construction events, gaining valuable skills and career insights in the construction industry,” said Deb Frazier, Executive Officer of the Treasure Coast Builders Association Charitable Fund Inc.
