Pure Prairie League to Love You Tonight at The Emerson Center
Pure Prairie League (PPL) is an American soft rock band that began their musical journey in 1970 from Waverly in southern Ohio. In 1975 the band scored its biggest hit with the single "Amie", a track that originally appeared on their 1972 album Bustin' Out. Pure Prairie League scored five consecutive Top 40 LPs in the 1970s and added a sixth in the 1980s. They disbanded in 1988 but regrouped in 1998 and continue to perform. In fact, they continue to ride the revival wave with their December, 2024 release of Back on Track, the group’s first studio album in nearly two decades, offering the classic and contemporary signature sounds of their soaring harmonies and lilting love songs they are so well-known for.
Audiences will enjoy their sweet sounds from The Emerson Center stage on Thursday, February 6 at 7:00 p.m. LIVE! From Vero Beach is a production of MusicWorks. Tickets may be purchased on www.musicworksconcerts.com. Range of tickets are $45-$105.
Pure Prairie League continues to build on their rich history as one of rock's pioneering forces for over 50 years. Now in their sixth decade, Pure Prairie League leads the way for rockers like Keith Urban, Wilco, Nickel Creek, Counting Crows and many more that cite PPL as one of their main influences. As crisp and clean as mountain spring water and as comfortable as a well-worn shirt, Pure Prairie League brings us all back home. As one reviewer recently wrote, “PPL’s trademark sounds combine sweet memories with edgy contemporary muscle.” Come, sit back and relax to their spot-on hit songs that include, “Let Me Love You Tonight”, “That’ll Be The Day”, “Two Lane Highway”, “You’re Mine Tonight”, “I can’t Stop The Feelin’ and of course “Amie.”
