Milton can’t stop the 77th annual Indiantown Rodeo

For nearly eight decades, the Indiantown Rodeo has captivated Martin County residents and visitors with its thrilling, action-packed performances. This year, the tradition continues with the 77th Annual Indiantown Rodeo, set for Friday, Oct. 18th, and Saturday, October 19th at Timer Powers Park.

Hosted by the Indiantown Chamber of Commerce, this event promises an exciting blend of professional rodeo competition and local charm. Produced by Charlie and Wanda Lowry’s 4L Rodeo Company in partnership with the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) and the Women’s Professional Rodeo Association (WPRA), the rodeo features top talent from across the country.

“The rodeo tradition began in 1949 under Indiantown’s Circle T. Ranch, Inc.,” explains the Indiantown Chamber of Commerce’s Board of Directors. “Although the rodeo paused in the late seventies, it was revived by the Martin County Sheriff’s Office in the mid-80s, leading to a continued successful tradition that we’ve proudly carried forward since 2012.”

The Indiantown Rodeo is a key fundraiser supporting beloved local events like the Kid’s Fishing Tournament, Christmas Parade, and educational initiatives for the business and high school communities.

A Fun-Filled Family Event

This year’s rodeo will feature seven contestants per performance, showcasing classic rodeo events such as bareback riding, steer wrestling, bull riding, and women’s barrel racing. Longtime Rodeo Announcer Jerry Todd will return to the arena, along with fan-favorite Rodeo Clown Dusty Myers and the Faithful W Ranch Trick Horse Riders.

With an expected attendance of 3,000 guests each night, visitors are encouraged to arrive early to enjoy pre-show activities, including shopping, food trucks, and the Kids Corral. Over 30 vendors will offer everything from western wear and crafts to local eats like BBQ, pizza, and fried Oreos.

“We’re grateful for the support of our volunteers, business partners, and the community,” says Donna Carman, Executive Director of the Indiantown Chamber of Commerce. “The rodeo helps preserve our agricultural roots and bring people together to celebrate our unique heritage.”
