Mayor Hudson appointed to FLC Finance Committee
Mayor Linda Hudson has been appointed to the Florida League of Cities’ 2026-27 Finance and Taxation Policy Committee, one of five legislative policy committees that help shape the organization’s advocacy priorities.
In this role, Hudson will help develop the League’s legislative platform, which identifies priority issues affecting municipal governance, finance, taxation and local decision-making ahead of the upcoming legislative session.
“This appointment gives Fort Pierce a stronger voice in the legislative process,” Hudson said. “It is important that residents understand how state legislative decisions can affect local government’s ability to serve the community.”
The committee provides League staff with municipal perspectives on proposed legislation and supports advocacy for local decision-making throughout the legislative process.
Hudson also has been active with the Treasure Coast Regional League of Cities, which brings together municipal leaders from across the region to address issues affecting local governments and the communities they serve.
