Janean Barrows named director of growth at Hummingbird Care
Hummingbird Care Services has named Janean Barrows director of growth and innovation, a role focused on expanding access to dependable, personalized care for seniors and adults who want to remain safely and comfortably at home. The company was named best home care agency in the WFLX Viewers’ Choice Awards and by Guide to Florida. In the new position, Barrows will help develop partnerships, strengthen programs and advance home care solutions across Florida’s Treasure Coast. She brings business development experience in the region’s health care sector to Hummingbird Care Services.
Barrows is a Florida Atlantic University alumna and earned associate degrees in health services from regional colleges. Her career has focused on professional and personal community outreach, including work with Feed the Lambs, the Community Business Alliance, Preferred Provider Network, the Center for Memory and Movement, Love Your Neighbor and other organizations.
Barrows also created and hosts “Silver Linings,” a nationally syndicated podcast highlighting people, organizations and “silver nuggets” that make the Treasure Coast distinctive. She also created “Silver Circle,” a local community advocacy group. In her new role, Barrows will focus on community collaboration, growth and innovation while working with Hummingbird Care Services’ leadership team to identify opportunities, strengthen relationships with health care professionals and community organizations, and develop solutions that respond to the changing needs of clients and their families.
