Impact 100 IRC unveils ten finalists

Impact 100 Indian River members revealed a total grant fund of $487,000 and announced ten 2024 finalists. The ten finalists were selected for their transformational proposals that align with Impact 100 IR's core values and high standards. The ten nonprofit organizations will compete for four $100,000 grants

  • Feed the Lambs Enrichment Program, Inc. - After School Tutoring and Summer Camp
  • Hibiscus Children's Center - Supporting Families in Crisis
  • Homeless Children's Foundation of IRC - Compassion in Action: Camps Enriching the Lives of Homeless Youth
  • LifeBuilders of the Treasure Coast, Inc. - LifeBuilders IRC Case Manager
  • Ocean Research and Conservation Association, Inc. - Sebastian River Pollution Mapping
  • Safe Families for Children - Treasure Coast - Every Mother's Advocate Program and Coordinator
  • Senior Collaborative of Indian River County - Senior Collaborative "Upslide" Program
  • Tykes and Teens, Inc - Family Peer Support (FPS) Program

The Finalists, selected from a pool of 26 applications, underwent comprehensive vetting by the Grants Committee of more than 60 Impact 100 members. This process included rigorous grant panel reviews, site visits, and thorough financial reviews.

Lynn Byrnes, Grants chair, expressed appreciation for the contributions of local nonprofits and the diligent efforts of the grant panels. "Our organization is grateful for the invaluable contributions made by local nonprofits to improve Indian River County. The grant panels meticulously reviewed a record number of proposals and made challenging decisions based on our organization's high standards."

Annually, Impact 100 members contribute $1,100 each, with $1,000 forming a collective pool for impactful grant awards. Local nonprofits are invited to apply for the coveted $100,000 grants, which empower them to realize transformative initiatives within our community. With this year’s awards, Impact 100 IR will have awarded more than $6.5 million to local nonprofits over the past 16 years

"What sets Impact 100 apart in its grant-making approach is that our members actively determine which nonprofits meet our ‘gold standards’ to receive the funding," shared Shriner. "As an all-women's organization, we take pride in our collective decision-making process. Together, we truly are a force for positive change."
