Groundbreaking ceremony for the Humane Society of St. Lucie County

The Humane Society of St. Lucie County is thrilled to announce the groundbreaking ceremony for its ambitious expansion project, set to take place on December 6th at 10:00 am. The event will be held at the Humane Society’s location at 8890 Glades Cut-Off Rd., Port St. Lucie, FL 34986.

The groundbreaking ceremony signifies a significant milestone in the Humane Society of St. Lucie County’s mission to enhance its facilities and, consequently, its capacity to provide care for animals in need. Two new buildings will be erected: a cat wing designed to accommodate approximately 100 feline residents and a dedicated dog building with space for up to 15 canine companions.

As our community faces increasing challenges in providing shelter for animals, this expansion is a crucial step towards meeting the growing demands for humane care. The new facilities will not only alleviate the strain on our current resources but will also create a more comfortable and enriching environment for the animals awaiting their forever homes.

The Humane Society of St. Lucie County is honored to have the presence of esteemed guests at the groundbreaking ceremony. Members of the Board of Directors, city officials, and various community leaders will be in attendance to commemorate this momentous occasion. We extend a warm invitation to the press to join us and share in the excitement of this groundbreaking event.
