Could you serve on the Board of Examiners of Contractors?

The Fort Pierce City Commission is currently seeking applications from individuals to serve on the Board of Examiners of Contractors. The board consists of five members, including two consumer representatives and three state-licensed representatives.

State Licensed Representative must:

  • Be a City of Fort Pierce resident for at least two years.
  • Hold a valid State of Florida contractor license in one of the following categories:
    • Architect
    • Engineer
    • Swimming pool
    • Roofing, or other Specialty Contractor
    • General, Residential, or Building Contractor
    • Electrical Contractor
    • Plumbing Contractor
    • Mechanical or Air-conditioning Contractor

Consumer Representative must:

  • Be a City of Fort Pierce resident for at least two years.
  • Have never previously been and may not be a member or practitioner of a profession regulated by the board or a closely related profession.

Meetings are typically held as needed on the second Tuesday of the month at 9:00 a.m.

The deadline to apply is March 10, 2026.
