City of Fort Pierce Commissioners seek applications for the Affordable Housing Advisory Committee
The Fort Pierce City Commission is seeking community members to apply for the Affordable Housing Advisory Committee (AHAC). This nine-member committee plays a key role in addressing affordable housing challenges by developing recommendations to foster, incentivize, and expand affordable housing opportunities in the City of Fort Pierce.
Qualified applicants are encouraged to apply, particularly those with a connection to affordable housing. Representative categories include, but are not limited to:
- Residential Home Builders
- Banking or Mortgage Industry Professionals
- Home Building Labor Representatives
- Advocates for Low-Income Residents
- Affordable Housing Providers
- Real Estate Professionals
- Members of the City’s Planning Agency
- Residents of Fort Pierce
- Employer Representatives
- Essential Services Personnel
The AHAC meets on the first Thursday of each month at 5:30 p.m. on the 2nd Floor of City Hall.
The deadline to submit applications is Feb. 1, 2024.
