City of Fort Pierce Commission seeks applications for Youth Advisory Committee
The Fort Pierce City Commission is inviting passionate and motivated students to apply for membership on the Fort Pierce Youth Council (YOCO), an advisory committee dedicated to addressing youth-related issues and providing a platform for young voices in local government.
Appointed by the City Commission, YOCO serves an important role in shaping policies that impact youth and advising city leaders on matters that affect the lives of young people in Fort Pierce. The committee meets monthly on the third Thursday at 4:00 PM and offers students a unique opportunity to become active participants in civic life.
Eligibility Requirements:
To be considered for the Youth Council, applicants must:
- Be a resident of the City of Fort Pierce
- Be entering grades 9 through 12 in August 2025
- Attend a high school within city limits or be enrolled at Fort Pierce Westwood Academy
How to Apply:
Qualified students are encouraged to apply by July 14, 2025. Applications can be completed online through the City’s website by visiting the Youth Council page and selecting the Fort Pierce Youth Council Application in the Form Center.
In addition to the online form, students must download and complete the Student & Parent Required Signatures Form, which must be signed by both the applicant and a parent or guardian before submission. This form can also be found on the Youth Council webpage.
