Schochet joins St. Lucie Eye Associates

St. Lucie Eye announced that Dr. Daniella Schochet has joined its medical team, bringing specialized expertise in cornea care and cataract surgery. Schochet completed fellowship training at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute and will begin seeing patients Oct. 5 before taking time away to welcome a new baby. She is expected to join the practice full time in January.
Dr. Salinger will continue seeing cornea patients through October, after which Schochet will transition into caring for those patients. St. Lucie Eye expressed appreciation for Salinger’s service and said Schochet’s addition will support continued care for cornea patients.
The practice also said it is developing plans for a new St. Lucie Eye location in Tradition, near the hospital. The office is expected to open next summer, with additional details to be shared as plans advance.
St. Lucie Eye also announced that Dr. Karli-Micha has returned from maternity leave. The practice thanked patients for their patience during a busy summer period and said it is pleased to have Karli-Micha back with the team.
Dr. Satyesh “Sat” Rana, president of the practice, said the announcements reflect continued growth at St. Lucie Eye while underscoring the practice’s commitment to patient care and appreciation for the trust patients place in its physicians and staff.
