Miller Construction breaks ground on Tradition Commerce Park
Miller Construction Co. has broken ground on the first phase of Tradition Commerce Park, a 34-acre industrial and flex development planned within the Tradition Center for Commerce. BTH Development Partners is developing the project, which has approval for seven buildings totaling more than 530,000 square feet.
The first phase includes roads, utilities and stormwater retention areas, along with two buildings. Building 4 will include about 28,800 square feet, and Building 5 will include about 26,400 square feet.
The buildings will use tilt-up concrete construction and are designed for office and warehouse users, with grade-level loading and tenant spaces starting at 3,000 square feet.
Future phases are expected to include larger industrial and distribution buildings of up to 166,968 square feet, as well as build-to-suit projects.
“The Treasure Coast continues to experience tremendous economic and population expansion, driving significant demand for modern industrial and flex space,” said Brian Sudduth, president and CEO of Miller Construction.
Tradition Commerce Park is located at 12051 S.W. Tom Mackie Blvd., providing access to Interstate 95 and Florida’s Turnpike through Crosstown Parkway and Southwest Gatlin Boulevard.
The development is near major employers and facilities in Tradition, including Amazon, FedEx, Cleveland Clinic Tradition Hospital, Cheney Brothers and the Florida Research & Innovation Center.
Colliers International Florida is handling leasing and sales for the development. The project team includes Claren Architecture and Planners, KAMM Consulting, Johnson Structural and Haley Ward.
