Wire 3 expands in Martin County

Wire 3 said it will invest $53 million to expand its fiber internet network into Martin County, bringing service to Ocean Breeze, Sewall’s Point and Stuart. The privately funded project is expected to give more than 53,000 residents and businesses access to the company’s fiber network.

Construction is scheduled to begin this summer, with the first Martin County customers expected to come online in the fall. Residents and businesses can sign up for construction updates and presale information at wire3.com.

“Martin County is growing, and it needs internet infrastructure that can keep pace,” Wire 3 CEO Jai Ramachandran said. “This expansion will deliver faster, more reliable connectivity for how people live and work today.”

The Martin County buildout follows Wire 3’s recent expansion into St. Lucie and Indian River counties through a combined $263 million investment in Port St. Lucie and Vero Beach. The company said Martin County will join more than 50 communities already served across Florida.

Wire 3 offers symmetrical upload and download speeds, Wi-Fi equipment and no-contract plans. The company said service speeds can reach 10 gigabits per second.

Based in Daytona Beach, Florida, Wire 3 is expanding its fiber network across Florida and plans future growth in Georgia and South Carolina. More information is available at wire3.com.
