Safeguard sensitive information at free shredding event

St. Lucie County Clerk and Comptroller Michelle R. will be hosting Shred & Protect Day, a community-focused event aimed at safeguarding personal information through secure document disposal. This event is open to all St. Lucie residents and will take place on Frid., April 24, 2026.

At this event, you can bring your sensitive documents, old bills, financial records, and any paperwork containing personal information that you wish to dispose of securely. Our trusted shredding services company will be on-site to ensure that your sensitive data is properly destroyed, helping you guard against identity theft and maintain your privacy.

Shred & Protect Day offers an ideal opportunity for residents to securely dispose of documents that may contain sensitive or confidential information. Clerk Miller is committed to ensuring that residents have access to the resources they need to protect their personal data effectively.

St. Lucie residents are encouraged to bring up to three banker boxes of documents for on-site shredding. The Clerk’s office has taken steps to make the process as convenient as possible, with Deputy Clerks available to assist in transporting boxes directly from cars to on-site shredding trucks. Participants will not need to exit their vehicles, ensuring a safe and efficient experience.
