The Center for Memory and Movement unveils new name and brand identity

The Alzheimer & Parkinson Association of Indian River County is proud to announce its new name: The Center for Memory and Movement. This rebranding reflects the organization’s continued growth, expanded programs, and unwavering commitment to serving individuals and families impacted by memory and movement disorders. With a fresh new name and modern visual identity, The Center for Memory and Movement better represents the breadth of services offered to the community—including innovative movement classes, caregiver support, education, and wellness programs. While the name has changed, the mission remains the same: to provide compassionate, comprehensive support and resources—always free of charge—to those living memory and movement disorders.

“New Name. New Location. Same Mission,” said Peggy Cunningham. “This transformation allows us to more clearly communicate who we are today and how we serve our community, while honoring the legacy and trust we’ve built over the years.”

For decades, the organization has been a trusted resource in Indian River County, offering programs that enhance quality of life, promote independence, and support caregivers. The new name reflects a broader, more inclusive approach.

The Center for Memory and Movement will continue to provide a wide range of services, including:

  • Movement and exercise classes designed to improve strength, balance, and mobility
  • Educational programs and caregiver resources
  • Social respite opportunities
  • Community outreach and safety initiatives, including Project Lifesaver

The organization invites the community to embrace this exciting new chapter while continuing to support its mission: To improve the quality of life for individuals and families in Indian River County who are affected by memory and movement disorders through support, education, and connection.
