Vero Beach educator nominated for national LifeChanger of the Year award

Master’s Academy of Vero Beach Upper School Dean Kimberly Gillette has been nominated for National Life Group’s 2025-26 LifeChanger of the Year award. National Life Group’s LifeChanger of the Year recognizes and rewards the very best K-12 educators and school district employees across the United States who are making a difference in the lives of students by exemplifying excellence, positive influence, and leadership.

Gillette was nominated by her colleague, Nancy Cook, for her exceptional leadership, integrity, and lasting impact on students and staff. A former classroom teacher with more than 13 years of service, Gillette advanced into school leadership with a clear vision for growth and innovation, earning a Master’s degree to better support her school community. Known for her compassion and steady leadership, she mentors teachers, guides curriculum development, and helps shape a positive, student-centered school culture grounded in respect and encouragement.

Gillette’s influence extends far beyond academics. She is deeply committed to supporting the emotional well-being of middle and high school students, building trust with families, and creating a safe, welcoming environment where students feel valued and empowered. Whether counseling a struggling student, inspiring confidence, or leading transformative programs, her presence uplifts the entire school community and leaves a lasting impression on those she serves.

“Ms. Kimberly Gillette is not only an exceptional educator and leader, but a true LifeChanger. Her influence is lasting, her dedication is admirable, and her legacy is one of compassion, excellence, and inspiration. She embodies everything this honor represents and is profoundly deserving of recognition,” said Cook.
