Representative Toby Overdorf honored with Treasure Coast Construction Career Champion Award
The Treasure Coast Builders Association (TCBA) Charitable Fund recognized Representative Toby Overdorf as the recipient of the Treasure Coast Construction Career Champion Award during its first annual Tricks, Treats & Trades Fundraiser held on October 24 at the Indian River State College Eastman Advanced Workforce Training Complex. The event highlighted the impact of local collaboration and celebrated community partnerships that inspire and prepare young adults for rewarding careers in construction and related trades.
Representative Overdorf was honored for his unwavering advocacy for Florida’s builders, contractors, and housing industry. Throughout his tenure, he has been a strong supporter of legislation and initiatives aimed at strengthening workforce development and expanding opportunities in the skilled trades. Although Representative Overdorf was unable to attend the event, his wife, Maggie Overdorf, accepted the award on his behalf.
“Representative Overdorf has been a strong voice for our industry and a consistent supporter of workforce initiatives,” said Deb Frazier, Executive Officer of the TCBA Charitable Fund. “His commitment to promoting education and career development in the trades has made a measurable difference across our region.”
Jennifer Williams, Director of Workforce Development for the TCBA Charitable Fund, added, “The Representative’s ongoing support is vital to our efforts to connect young adults to hands-on training and real career pathways. His leadership helps ensure that the trades continue to thrive and remain a cornerstone of Florida’s economy.”
Funds raised from the Tricks, Treats & Trades fundraiser will directly support the TCBA Charitable Fund’s workforce programs, including Careers in Construction Week and ongoing partnerships with local schools and organizations across the Treasure Coast and Okeechobee counties.
