VERO BEACH — Vero Beach Outlets, a more than 329,000 square foot outlet shopping center serving the Treasure Coast region, announced today that following the purchase of the property by Wharton Realty Group (WRG), a real estate company specializing in acquisitions and property management, Susan Belgam Hunt has returned to the property to serve as General Manager following a six year hiatus.

Hunt, a seasoned retail property manager who served as the outlet center’s General Manager from March 2003 to October 2009, was instrumental in increasing the outlet center’s value from $18.5 million to $38 million at the time of its previous sale in 2009. She will once again be responsible for the overall management of the center.

“Susan’s retail management experience, business acumen and extensive skill set make her a tremendous asset to Vero Beach Outlets,” said Wharton Realty Group President Daniel Massry. “We’re delighted she has returned to the property and look forward to her making impactful contributions that continue to shape the success of the outlet center.”

Strategic and creative, Hunt earned her bachelor of arts degree from Rutgers University. Her prior career experience includes positions with increasing responsibility at New Plan Excel Realty Trust, Tanger Outlet Centers and the Edward J. DeBartolo Corporation. Most recently, she was marketing director at the 1,200-seat Sunrise Theatre.
