The St. Lucie County Tourism & Venues office, the City of Fort Pierce and Indian River State College have partnered to launch three live web cams in Fort Pierce. Each of the three web cams capture live scenery in locations that feature waterways, activities and conditions that will appeal to potential visitors to the area.

Camera one is located at the new Jetty Park in Fort Pierce and showcases inlet boater activity and conditions, the jetty fishing pier and surf conditions at Fort Pierce Inlet State Park. You can see it at http://www.visitstluciefla.com/earthcam_jetty.htm

The second camera is located at IRSC’s Marine Science Center on Seaway Drive and showcases boater traffic and recreation occurring in the inlet waterway and on Dynamite Point, also known as the Cove. View it at http://www.visitstluciefla.com/earthcam_inlet.htm

Camera three is located at Fort Pierce City Marina and captures the marina’s new floating docks as well as special events and activities taking place in Marina Square such as the Downtown Fort Pierce Farmers Market and Friday Fest. See it at http://www.visitstluciefla.com/earthcam_marina.htm

Each camera’s view highlights Fort Pierce as a destination for those looking to enjoy boating, fishing, the beaches, nature and cultural activities taking place in the area.

Live feeds to all three cameras are also accessible on the homepage of the St. Lucie County’s tourism website (www.visitstluciefla.com), the home page of the Fort Pierce City Marina’s website (www.fortpiercecitymarina.com) and the Fort Pierce Authentic Tours website (www.fortpiercetours.com).

“This is a fantastic opportunity to show the world and potential visitors how beautiful our waterways and beaches are and how active our marine community is — in real time,” stated St. Lucie County Commissioner and Chairman of the Tourist Development Council Chris Dzadovsky. “Having these live web cams will not only drive online traffic to the County’s tourism site and our partner sites, but will allow us to further promote Fort Pierce and the County as a beautiful tourist destination. The promotional opportunities we can and will do with these cameras are vast.”
